I wanted to be Scully when I grew up! Remember her? The human mind has always fascinated me...especially when it worked differently. Aquarians are known for a bit of a 'black sheep' kind of feeling. Definitely the rebellious nature. I'd say I'm a pretty true Aquarian... delinquents and criminals fascinated me. Solving, studying, observing... entertained me. So, I started in criminal justice and interned at a prison. I quickly realized the idea of the career was a little more like the TV version than the real life version (another Aquarian trait I suppose). I went on to use my Criminal Justice degree (minor in Social Work), to be a voice for 'juvenile delinquents.' Empathy, rebellion, my own upbringing and my desire to help made me a great juvenile probation officer for my kids. But many systems are less than perfect and I found myself in positions where my beliefs and heart didn't always align with my required responsibilities...where I'd be forced to recommend a delinquency placement when mental health needs weren't addressed. I slipped through cracks growing up. I was quiet, made the grades and so no one noticed. No one noticed my own delinquent behavior. No one bothered to take interest in my potential either. I wanted to really see these kids and advocate for them and their potential. This led to a Masters in Counseling and Educational Psychology and becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor.
Now I also have always been pretty active. Again in that Aquarian nature ...it's been more individual activities. I was a dancer, taught all sorts of fitness classes and eventually found my way to a Yoga Teacher training course. Here I was introduced to Mindfulness. It's no mistake these two significant paths in my development were synchronous. I find they each exist in the other...or mindfulness is a necessary component of exceptional counseling and some level of therapy is a felt byproduct of a consistent mindfulness practice. Organically I became an integrative therapist. Eventually this led to working more in wellness and bringing the practice of mindfulness to corporations and employees at work. I lived more, taught more, explored more, met more teachers and practiced more. And while thoughts are powerful, the physical body- critical, and emotions cannot be ignored...my fascination shifted to what seemed difficult to know...ENERGY. Then the diagnosis came.
My mother was a teacher in many forms, but for the last 15 years of her life, she ran a successful yoga center. She was a serious teacher, a spiritual teacher and lived a physically healthy lifestyle. When she passed way from breast cancer that had metastasized at the young age of 61, it was clear to me, that my work needed to be deeper. It was clear that our real freedom is an integration, an alignment of the seen and unseen and there is no real ‘health or wellness’ that doesn’t also attend to emotions and ENERGY. It was clear that in our infinite time, we are here to do deep personal work that moves us toward true freedom or an alignment with our very essence. I’m guessing many terms have come to mind with this …and that’s fine…use what resonates with you. Energy techniques, Reiki, Bengston. These are all extensions of that intrigue and where my passion and study lie these days, resulting in my most recent accomplishment as a Diplomate in Comprehensive Energy Psychology (DCEP) from the Association of Comprehensive Energy Psychology (ACEP). I practice mindfulness daily, yoga or running or some crazy fusion of exercise daily and I am continually experiencing the awe of learning to work with energy and the profound possible outcomes.
Sometimes Aquarian's need to be grounded in reality. I realized, as I've met so many amazing teachers, that in order to show up as the mother I want to be, the daughter, the friend, the partner...I couldn't follow every fascination to the depths I desired. They were coming from so many directions and I felt overwhelmed and like there wasn't enough time or money. And that is where the seeds to EleutheriaU began to sprout.
I'm here to serve you and your personal evolution. I see you. I feel your longing. The EleutheriaU community awaits your arrival!

Community Causes
William Glasser, a well known American Psychiatrist and developer of Reality Therapy and Choice Theory, states that humans are driven by five genetic needs, one of which is freedom.
We believe freedom is a universal desire for all living organisms and that when organisms are allowed to fully be..when they are truly free...each contributes magnificently and uniquely to the masterpiece that is this earthly world. We are committed to doing what we can to promote that freedom. How?
We offer 1 cancer patient per quarter, (human or animal) free Bengston healing
